Beim ersten Treffen von Johann Wadephul und Sergej Lawrow seit Beginn des russischen Angriffskrieges gegen die Ukraine liegt ein brisantes Dokument auf dem Tisch. Der russische Bericht trägt den Titel „Erben von Goebbels“ und verbreitet unter anderem die Darstellung, das Massaker von Butscha sei inszeniert worden. Wadephul legt seinen Notizblock und einen Stift über das Dokument. Russlands Außenamtssprecherin Maria Sacharowa macht die Szene später auf Telegram zum Thema und spottet über den deutschen Außenminister.
