Já foi aprovada a Emenda Constitucional 137, que isenta do IPVA todos os automóveis fabricados há mais de 20 anos. Ué, mas já não existia essa legislação que isentava os automóveis antigos deste imposto?
Existiam legislações específicas em cada estado, mas nem todos tinham esse tipo de isenção. Apenas cinco foram realmente beneficiados por essa nova lei. São eles:
Alagoas, que só não cobrava IPVA para carros acima de 23 anos;
Minas Gerais, que só isentava os que tivessem placa preta e para isso precisavam de ter mais de 30 anos;
Pernambuco, que não tinha nenhum tipo de isenção para carros antigos;
Santa Catarina e Tocantins, onde somente carros com mais de 30 anos tinham esse benefício
