Terrorista o eroe? Chi è Marwan Barghouti, il “Mandela palestinese” che Israele tiene in prigione
Immagina di crescere in un villaggio della Cisgiordania e vedere la tua terra occupata, i tuoi vicini aggrediti e persino il tuo cane ucciso.È da qui che inizia la storia di Marwan Barghouti, conosciuto come il “Mandela palestinese”: un uomo che ha alternato diplomazia e resistenza, carriera politica e proteste contro l’occupazione, e che ancora oggi viene considerato da molti l’unico leader politico capace di unire il popolo palestinese, sebbene sia in un carcere israeliano dal 2002.
Ma chi è davvero Barghouti? Un terrorista, come sostiene Israele che lo ha condannato a cinque ergastoli più altri quarant’anni di reclusione, o un eroe, come lo vedono tanti palestinesi?
