Am Anfang des Podcasts gehen Tim Deisinger und Ex-General Erhard Bühler auf den jüngsten Korruptionsskandal in der Ukraine ein. Bühler spricht von einer besonderen Herausforderung für Präsident Selenskyj, bewertet aber auch positiv, dass die Anti-Korruptionsbehörde den Fall aufgedeckt hat. Gleichwohl findet er, dass der Skandal natürlich diejenigen bestärkt, die die Ukraine ohnehin für ein korruptes Land halten.Schwerpunktthema ist dann ein Artikel in der FAZ. Die beiden Autoren Moritz Schularick und Niall Ferguson gehen darin sehr kritisch mit der deutschen Verteidigungspolitik um. Ihnen geht alles zu langsam, die Waffenproduktion kommt nicht in Gang, die Abhängigkeit von den USA ist viel zu hoch - so ihr Befund. "Ich teile die Ungeduld", sagt Bühler. "Wir könnten besser dastehen." Allerdings findet er die Kritik "zu polemisch und auch faktisch nicht ganz richtig". Im Podcast nimmt er Stellung zu den einzelnen Punkten und erklärt, was ihn daran stört.
