La comunidad de Houston exige justicia por el homicidio de Lorenzo Salgado Araujo a manos del ICE

Hacía casi 35 años que Salgado Araujo vivía en Estados Unidos y sus tres hijos son ciudadanos estadounidenses. Hasta el momento, los agentes del ICE involucrados en el homicidio no han sido identificados y no está claro si permanecen en servicio activo.
Ampliamos la información sobre el tema con un informe elaborado por la producción de Democracy Now! desde Houston. Mucha gente de la comunidad inmigrante de la ciudad considera que Salgado Araujo encarnaba al “padre de familia de Houston” y era un ejemplo de la composición de sus propios hogares en lugar del peligroso delincuente que el Gobierno está intentando mostrar.
“Se parece a todos nuestros padres. Tiene la misma historia, el mismo 'sueño americano'”, dijo a Democracy Now! una habitante de Houston llamada Sonia.
“Exigimos justicia para Lorenzo, pero no solo eso”, dijo una doliente en una de las movilizaciones. “Estos terroristas que vienen del Gobierno no están solo en Houston, no están solo en Texas, no están solo en Estados Unidos. Es un terrorismo que está en todo el mundo”.
