Pemutilasi yakni Erus (23) diduga seorang kanibal.
Dia memakan daging dari tubuh korban yang dimutilasi.
Beredar di media sosial sejumlah video yang memperlihatkan pelaku memakan sesuatu persis di samping jasad korban.
Terlihat juga tubuh korban terbelah menjadi tiga bagian, mulai dari badan, pinggang hingga kaki.
"Astaghfirullahaladzim, kanibal," ujar seseorang dalam video tersebut.
Nining (43), warga yang menjadi saksi pembunuhan keji itu mengaku melihat pelaku memotong jasad korban di pinggir jalan.
Bahkan ia sempat mengira pelaku memotong daging ayam.
Dia sempat mendekati terduga pelaku untuk melihat aksinya itu.
Dari jarak dekat, ia kemudian terkejut saat melihat potongan daging tersebut ternyata merupakan jasad manusia.
"Sempet lihat orang itu memotong daging di pinggir jalan, kirain motong daging ayam," ujar Nining saat dihubungi Tribunjabar.id, Minggu.
Adapun peristiwa pembunuhan disertai mutilasi ini terjadi di Jalan Raya Cibalong, Kampung Bantar Limus, Desa Sancang, Kecamatan Cibalong, Kabupaten Garut, Jawa Barat, Minggu, (30/6).
Erus pun kini telah diamankan polisi dan harus berdiam di balik jeruji besi.
Dari balik jeruji besi tersebut, Erus sempat-sempatnya tersenyum saat didatangi oleh sejumlah warga dan tokoh masyarakat setempat di Polsek Cibalong.
Berdasarkan hasil penyelidikan polisi, Erus diduga orang dalam gangguan jiwa (ODGJ).
Kendati demikian, Kasat Reskrim Polres Garut AKP Ari Rinaldo pihaknya belum bisa memastikan hal tersebut sebelum ada pemeriksaan dari dokter terkait kondisi Erus.
