Publik pun menyoroti ekspresi Wapres Gibran Rakabuming Raka yang tak senyum melihat anggota DPR berjoget.
Gibran pun menyebut wajahnya memang seperti itu sejak lahir.
Hal itu disampaikan Gibran melalui sambungan telepon dengan komedian Tretan Muslim.
Percakapan keduanya diunggah di channel Youtube Youtube Tretan Universe pada Jumat (22/8).
Dalam telepon itu, Tretan Muslim menanyakan ekspresi Gibran yang dianggap marah melihat anggota DPR berjoget.
Terdengar, Gibran bingung saat ditanya mengenai ekspresinya yang menjadi perbincangan publik.
"Ekspresi yang mana?" tanya Gibran.
Setelah dijelaskan kembali oleh Tretan Muslim, Gibran pun meluruskan.
Ia mengatakan ekspresi yang disorot publik sejatinya memang menjadi raut wajahnya sejak lahir.
Gibran pun meminta maaf karena tidak bisa memilih wajahnya sendiri.
"Saya muka saya dari lahir memang mau gimana mohon maaf lah ya. Kan enggak bisa milih. Iya. default template-nya dari dulu seperti itu si," papar Gibran.
Kemudian, Gibran menegaskan asumsi publik terkait ekspresi marah melihat anggota DPR berjoget adalah keliru.
Pihaknya menegaskan momen tersebut tidak ada korelasinya dengan kenaikan gaji DPR.
Gibran menyebut anggota DPR yang berjoget di sidang itu terjadi saat nota keuangan dan pidato kenegaraan Presiden Prabowo Subianto.
"Eh, enggak. itu perlu diluruskan loh. Itu enggak ada hubungannya dengan gaji pas acara itu. Itu kan acara penyampaian nota keuangan oleh presiden dan pidato kenegaraan. Sebelum upacara 17 Agustus ya. Jadi itu pas di penutupan acara," jelas Gibran.
