Occurred on August 22, 2026 / Isla Mujeres, Quintana Roo, Mexico"Four of us were on a remote beach in Isla Mujeres, Mexico, with no cell signal, when I spotted a giant sea turtle trapped between the rocks. It was around 2 to 3 p.m., and she was exhausted and dying after being out of the water for a long time. It took the four of us about 15 minutes to carefully move her because she was so heavy. We were bringing her to the water little by little so she could rest when a huge wave took her out to sea. We made sure she could swim well and followed her as long as we could.
