Am Freitagmittag gegen 12:30 Uhr kam es im Bereich eines Einkaufszentrums zu einem Verkehrsunfall, bei dem ein Mann schwer verletzt wurde. Ein 71-jähriger Hyundai-Fahrer war auf der Neckarhauser Straße in Richtung Mannheimer Straße unterwegs, als er aus bislang unbekannter Ursache die Kontrolle über sein Fahrzeug verlor. Er fuhr über die Gegenfahrbahn, kollidierte mit einem Laternenmast und prallte schließlich gegen die Wand eines Getränkemarktlagers. Der Fahrer wurde vor Ort vom Rettungsdienst versorgt und anschließend in ein nahegelegenes Krankenhaus gebracht.
