PARADE IN MOSKAU: „Erniedrigend für Wladimir Putin“? General a.D. Kather über Angst vor Drohnen am Roten PlatzGeneral a.D. Roland Kather spricht über die von Donald Trump organisierte dreitägige Waffenruhe vor der Parade in Moskau. Kather sagt, Wolodymyr Selenskyj habe dafür quasi seine Erlaubnis gegeben und die Szene ausgekostet. Für Wladimir Putin sei das erniedrigend. Kather nennt die Waffenruhe einen kleinen Erfolg für Trump. Zugleich stellt er die Frage, wie weit sie reicht. Offen bleibt nach seinen Worten, ob sie ein Einstieg in eine längerdauernde Waffenruhe ist oder nur den Beschuss Russlands und besonders Moskaus betrifft. Kather verweist auf die Gefahr ukrainischer Drohnen. Die Ukraine sei mittlerweile in der Lage, den Roten Platz zu beschießen. Das könne die Feier erheblich stören und zu Verlusten führen. Im Vorjahr habe Xi Jinping noch auf der Tribüne gesessen. Kather nennt ihn in diesem Zusammenhang einen Schutzschild für Putin. Dieses Jahr sei die Lage anders. Die internationale Teilnahme sei begrenzt. Deshalb sei Putins Sorge berechtigt. Kather bewertet Trumps Vermittlung der dreitägigen Waffenruhe als gute Lösung.
