Israel and Iran exchange deadly attacks as escalations enter third day
Israel and Iran have carried out a new wave of attacks on key cities, fuelling fears of an all-out sustained war, with heavy exchanges now entering a third day.Air defence systems across Israel have again been activated, after the military says missiles were launched from Iran and the Houthis in Yemen.
At least 12 people in Israel and 80 people in Iran have been killed during two days of conflict.
Israel targeted the Iranian defence ministry headquarters in Tehran early Sunday, according to the semi-official Tasnim news agency.
Iranian officials also said the Shahran oil depot, northwest of Tehran, was struck by Israel.
Tasnim News reported that operational and rescue forces have arrived at the scene and are still working to extinguish the fire.
