Rafael Grossi disebut sengaja menjadikan IAEA sebagai alat untuk memprovokasi konflik terhadap Iran.
Pernyataan itu disampaikan Juru bicara Kementerian Luar Negeri Iran Esmaeil Baghaei melalui cuitan di media sosial X-nya.
Menurutnya, Grossi telah mengkhianati rezim nonproliferasi.
Pasalnya, Rafael Grossi dengan sengaja menjadikan IAEA sebagai kaki tangan dalam perang agresif yang menurutnya tidak adil.
Bahkan, Grossi mengubahnya menjadi instrumen yang mudah digunakan oleh negara-negara yang belum menandatangani NPT (Perjanjian Nonproliferasi).
Sehingga hal itu mudah untuk melucuti hak-hak dasar para penandatangan NPT sebagaimana yang tercatat dalam Pasal 4.
"Anda telah mengkhianati rezim nonproliferasi. Anda telah menjadikan IAEA sebagai kaki tangan dalam perang agresif yang tidak adil ini, mengubahnya menjadi instrumen yang mudah digunakan oleh negara-negara yang belum menandatangani NPT (Perjanjian Nonproliferasi) untuk melucuti hak-hak dasar para penandatangan NPT sebagaimana yang diuraikan dalam Pasal 4."
Menurut Baghaei, IAEA selama ini gagal memberikan bukti konkret soal Iran yang secara aktif ingin mengembangkan senjata nuklir.
Terkini, ia menyebut laporan bias lembaga tersebut telah dieksploitasi oleh AS dan troika Uni Eropa.
Lantas mereka menyusun resolusi yang penuh dengan tuduhan tidak berdasar atas ketidakpatuhan.
Menurutnya, resolusi ini berfungsi sebagai dalih untuk tindakan militer.
Yakni, mengutip fasilitas nuklir Iran untuk membenarkan tindakan agresif.
