Secondo quanto riportato, gli inquirenti sospettano che l’assistente capo potesse avere rapporti poco chiari con alcuni pusher della zona e che avrebbe chiesto loro denaro, una sorta di pizzo, in cambio di protezione o tolleranza. Sempre stando a queste ricostruzioni, Abderrahim Mansouri sarebbe stato intenzionato a denunciarlo prima di essere ucciso.
