Il premier ungherese ha annunciato solo qualche settimana fa una serie di visite diplomatiche con lo scopo di tentare la formulazione di un cessate il fuoco tra #Russia e #Ucraina. Spedizione prontamente schernita e bocciata dalle istituzioni europee, che hanno preso freneticamente le distanze. "La visita del primo ministro Viktor Orbán a Mosca - dice l'Alto rappresenante UE, Josep Borrell - si svolge esclusivamente nel quadro delle relazioni bilaterali tra Ungheria e Russia". Un rifiuto di contatto diplomatico che Orban condanna, mettendo addirittura a rischio "il tradizionale viaggio della Commissione in Ungheria", annuncia il portavoce di von der Leyen.
Negli ultimi giorni Orban, che è in presidenza di turno al Consiglio europeo, ha concluso i suoi viaggi diretti in Ucraina, Russia e Cina, dove si è confrontato con i rispettivi leader. Intervistato dal quotidiano tedesco Bild, il primo ministro dell'Ungheria ha spiegato la situazione bellica e possibili risvolti molto pericolosi.
