Una disavventura a lieto fine, che non si è trasformata in un infortunio mortale grazie alla formazione e preparazione del soccorso alpino. Siamo sulla parete nord dell'Ortles, in Alto Adige. La via ferrata Tabaretta, che sale oltre i tremila metri di quota, è considerata una delle più difficili ed esposte delle Alpi, senza vie di fuga. Qui un alpinista in difficoltà è stato salvato dal soccorso alpino di Solda, intervenuto con l'elicottero Pelikan 3 munito di verricello con cavo di 70 metri. L'intervento si è rivelato particolarmente complicato, considerata la vicinanza alla parete rocciosa e la lunghezza del cavo d’acciaio che ha permesso ai soccorritori di raggiungere la persona in difficoltà. Il buon esito dell’operazione è stato garantito dalle ore ed ore di addestramento che portano ad un perfetto coordinamento tra pilota, verricellista e uomini del soccorso alpino.
