World Cup draw: FIFA descends on Washington
President Donald Trump, Mexico's President Claudia Sheinbaum and Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney will be among those in attendance at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. on Friday afternoon for the 2026 FIFA World Cup draw, as 12 groups of four teams are formed.The World Cup will be held from June 11 through July 19, 2026 and will take place at 16 sites across the US, Mexico and Canada.
This will be the first time competing for some countries, including Jordan and Uzbekistan, as Argentina attempts back-to-back wins for the first time since the 1950s and 1960s.
