Dilaporkan sekira 8.572 pelajar tewas di Jalur Gaza, Palestina, yang terkepung tentara Israel
Termasuk 100 mahasiswa di Tepi Barat yang diduduki sejak perang Israel di Gaza dimulai pada Oktober 2023.
Hal tersebut disampaikan oleh kantor berita resmi Palestina WAFA melaporkan, Selasa (2/7/2024).
Sementara itu, Kementerian Pendidikan menyebut, selain mereka yang tewas, 14.089 siswa terluka di Gaza.
Selain itu , di Tepi Barat, 100 mahasiswa tewas dan 494 lainnya terluka dan sekitar 349 mahasiswa ditahan.
Akibat perang tersebut, 353 sekolah dan universitas pemerintah dan 65 sekolah yang dikelola oleh Badan Bantuan dan Pekerjaan Perserikatan Bangsa-Bangsa untuk Pengungsi (UNRWA) dibom dan dirusak di Jalur Gaza.
Dilaporkan, 139 bangunan rusak parah, 93 hancur total.
