Zoe Valdés cuestiona por qué EE.UU. presiona a Nicolás Maduro y no a los Castro

La escritora y exiliada cubana Zoe Valdés lanzó un mensaje directo y sin rodeos al Secretario de Estado Marco Rubio, cuestionando la falta de acciones concretas contra la dictadura en Cuba. “¿Cuándo es que va a pasar algo con Cuba? ¿Por qué 50 millones por Nicolás Maduro y no por Raúl Castro o Alejandro Castro Espín?”, preguntó con tono de indignación. Para Valdés, el doble rasero en la política hacia la región es evidente y deja a la Isla en una posición privilegiada para seguir oprimiendo sin consecuencias.

Con su habitual franqueza, Zoe Valdés recordó que “Cuba es la cabeza del monstruo” y que todo lo que ocurre en la región, desde Venezuela hasta Nicaragua, tiene sus raíces en La Habana. Según la escritora, el régimen del Partido Comunista de Cuba no solo oprime al pueblo cubano, sino que ha declarado una guerra abierta a Estados Unidos a través de su influencia, alianzas y operaciones encubiertas.

Alex Otaola respaldó estas declaraciones y subrayó que el mensaje de Zoe Valdés no es solo una denuncia, sino un llamado urgente a que los líderes estadounidenses, especialmente en la Florida, dejen de mirar hacia otro lado. “La pregunta es directa y la respuesta debería ser igual de directa: ¿vamos a seguir permitiendo que la cabeza del monstruo siga intacta?”, sentenció.
