Die „Legend of the Seas“ soll Mitte Juni die Werft in Finnland verlassen und Kurs Richtung Mittelmeer nehmen. Doch vor der Indienststellung am 11. Juli wartet auf den Kreuzfahrt-Giganten in Dänemark ein heikler Moment: die Passage unter der Großer-Belt-Brücke. Das Problem: Erlaubt sind 65 Meter Durchfahrtshöhe, das Schiff ist rund 70 Meter hoch. Die Reederei setzt auf Millimeterarbeit – mit eingezogenen Schornsteinen sowie gefüllten Wassertanks und Pools.
