El 8 de abril se conmemora el Día Internacional de la Protección de los Animales Raros. Dentro de las muchas especies que necesitan protección, diversos tipos de luciérnagas del suroeste de China han sido declaradas como especies raras y protegidas.El mes de abril es uno de los meses donde ya se puede ver a las luciérnagas. En Qingshen, en la provincia de Sichuan, en el suroeste de China, se han documentado 53 hábitats y 12 diferentes tipos de este animal raro. Las luciérnagas son bioindicadores importantes de la salud ambiental de un lugar. Mediante la restauración de su hábitat y el control de la contaminación, Qingshen ha logrado proteger con éxito sus poblaciones de luciérnagas. #China #xw
