This is the story of Keki — a professional musician with a dream. Not a small one. A massively unreasonable one.
It all started with an obsession: Brian Auger, one of the true legends of the Hammond organ. And that obsession turned into a mission to find, acquire, and play what may be the single rarest Hammond on Earth.
In this video, I travel to Italy to meet Karma Auger. Brian’s son and drummer in his father’s band for over 20 years. And right there in front of us? Brian’s entire touring rig. Every piece. The drums, the bass, the guitar setup, the piano, the rack, the speakers. 25 years of live music history sitting in one room.
But the crown jewel? A 1956 Hammond C3, transformed into a “stealth organ” by Keyboard Specialties in St. Petersburg, Florida — all black, road-ready, portable, and utterly unique. Why? Because the tonewheel tech added an extra harmonic. There isn’t another one like it anywhere.
We dig into how Brian’s been running direct output since the ‘70s (yep — no Leslie), the legendary 50Hz vs 60Hz power struggle when touring across continents, and the Korg M3 on top — filled with custom Brian Auger patches thanks to a special visit from Korg’s own technician.
This video is pure love — for music, for gear, and for the people who dedicate their lives to both. ❤️🎶
