Gibran digugat oleh Subhan Palal terkait dugaan perbuatan melanggar hukum dalam syarat sebagai calon wakil presiden pada Pilpres 2024 lalu, karena mendaftar menggunakan ijazah SMA dan Strata Satu (S1) luar negeri.
Subhan yang juga menggugat Komisi Pemilihan Umum (KPU) pada kasus ini meminta agar Gibran KPU membayar ganti rugi materiil dan immateriil sebesar Rp125 triliun kepada seluruh warga negara Indonesia.
