Liba Mehaq is a Dental Hygienist working in the Middle east. She is a transgender/ transwoman and has undergone sex reassignment surgery to be assigned the female gender. She is now absolutely at ease with her identity.In this two-part series we talk about her childhood and the difficulties she faces because of gender dysphoria or incongruence in her gender identity. She talks about the sex reassignment surgery and how one must get prepared for the surgery physically, emotionally and also in terms of the documentation. She talks about her mother who gave her unwavering support all through. She came on to the show to spread awareness about the importance of education for transgenders and why they shouldn`t resort to sex work in order to survive. She dreams of a future with a loving husband and aims to keep spreading awareness about why it is high time society must accept transgenders and help them live fruitful happy lives.
