Pernyataan ini disampaikan dalam pidato pertamanya sejak gencatan senjata antara Iran dan Israel diberlakukan dua hari lalu.
Dikutip dari Aljazeera pada Jumat (27/6), Khamenei mengklaim kemenangan Iran usai 12 hari konflik bersenjata, termasuk serangan ke pangkalan militer AS di Qatar.
Ia menuding Presiden AS Donald Trump sebagai pemicu konflik dan menyebut rakyat AS hanya menginginkan penyerahan penuh dari Iran.
Namun, menurut Khamenei, hal tersebut tidak akan pernah terjadi karena Iran akan terus mempertahankan kedaulatannya.
Pidatonya muncul di tengah laporan simpang siur soal kerusakan akibat serangan AS ke situs nuklir Iran di Fordow, Natanz, dan Isfahan.
Trump sebelumnya mengklaim fasilitas nuklir Iran telah "dilenyapkan" oleh serangan militer AS.
Menanggapi hal itu, Khamenei mengatakan Trump telah melebih-lebihkan dan bahwa dampak serangan tidak signifikan.
Ia juga menegaskan bahwa AS tidak mendapatkan keuntungan strategis dari konflik ini.
Khamenei mengakhiri pidatonya dengan nada menantang, menyatakan bahwa Iran tetap berdiri tegar menghadapi tekanan asing.
