800 JAHRE DANACH: Franz von Assisi bewegt Tausende Pilger800 Jahre nach seinem Tod zieht Franz von Assisi Gläubige aus aller Welt an. In der päpstlichen Basilika San Francesco in Assisi werden seine Gebeine erstmals öffentlich in einem gläsernen, kugelsicheren Sarg gezeigt. Bis zu 15.000 Pilger täglich warten auf einen Moment der Nähe zum Heiligen. Franziskus, einst reicher Kaufmannssohn, wählte radikale Armut, predigte Frieden und gründete den Franziskanerorden. Ein außergewöhnliches Gedenken, das Geschichte, Glauben und Emotion vereint.
