L'operazione «Aquila Nera» è scattata all'alba nelle province di Trento, Bolzano, Vicenza, Verona, Rovigo, Roma, Frosinone, Varese e Ragusa. I carabinieri e la procura antimafia di Trento hanno interrotto i canali di rifornimento di cocaina che dal Perù, attraverso la Spagna, venivano utilizzati da cittadini sudamericani per far arrivare la droga nel Nord Italia. Le indagini dei carabinieri del Comando Provinciale di Trento sono andate avanti per 4 anni, e hanno portato all'arresto di 20 persone ritenute a vario titolo responsabili di associazione per delinquere finalizzata al traffico di stupefacenti e di associazione per delinquere finalizzata al traffico internazionale di migranti clandestini. In particolare, nel dicembre 2022 in Slovacchia, sono stati arrestati due degli indagati mentre trasportavano 15 migranti provenienti dalla Siria che avevano pagato - solo per l'ultimo tratto - 700 euro ciascuno. Gli indagati noleggiavano, in provincia di Trento, con pagamenti non tracciati, autocarri adibiti a trasporto merci che poi utilizzavano per trasportare i migranti dalla Slovacchia in Italia, attraverso Ungheria e Austria. L'operazione ha permesso di sequestrare complessivamente 82 chili di cocaina, di cui 60 in Paraguay e 8 in Perù, tutti destinati all'Italia. Receive SMS online on sms24.me
