A véspera da inauguração de um Centro de Desenvolvimento (CD) transforma o local que vai receber o equipamento em um grande encontro nacional do futebol. Em Sergipe não foi diferente: Aracaju e a vizinha Barra dos Coqueiros, onde o CD vai funcionar, celebraram a visita do presidente Samir Xaud conferindo-lhe o título de Cidadão Aracajuano e festejando o apoio da CBF ao futebol do estado e do Nordeste.O Centro de Desenvolvimento do Futebol de Sergipe, instalado no município de Barra dos Coqueiros, vizinho à capital Aracaju, é o quinto equipamento da série de Legados da Copa de 2014 entregues na gestão de Samir Xaud como presidente da CBF – e o primeiro do Nordeste, cumprindo a promessa de uma atenção especial ao futebol de longe dos grandes centros.
