Am vergangenen Wochenende hat Russland die schwersten Luftangriffe seit Kriegsbeginn geflogen. Mehr als 800 Drohnen wurden auf Ziele in der Ukraine programmiert, dazu kamen Raketen. Ex-General Bühler geht davon aus, dass das noch lange nicht das Ende der Fahnenstange ist. Denkbar sei, dass Russland noch mehr Drohnen einsetzen könnte. Die Produktion läuft auf Hochtouren, China liefert die notwendigen elektronische Bauteile.Nicht alle neu produzierten Waffen werden dabei an der Front eingesetzt. Ein Teil fließt in die Arsenale, um dort die Lager zu füllen. Auch die Verluste halten sich nach Ansicht von Bühler derzeit in Grenzen. Im August habe Russland an der Front rund 30 Kampfpanzer eingebüßt, das sei deutlich weniger als früher.
Ein weiteres Thema im Gespräch mit Host Christian Erll sind mögliche europäische Sicherheitsgarantien für die Ukraine. Ex-General Bühler findet es richtig, in Szenarien zu denken und nicht alles breit in der Öffentlichkeit zu diskutieren. Er lobt die Zurückhaltung der Bundesregierung in dieser Frage. In den Hörerfragen geht es unter anderem um den mutmaßlichen russischen Störangriff auf das Flugzeug von Ursula von der Leyen. Dieser wurde anfangs dramatischer dargestellt, als er in Wirklichkeit war.
