Áp thấp nhiệt đới trên Biển Đông duy trì sức gió mạnh cấp 6, giật cấp 8, gây mưa lớn trên khắp cả nước từ chiều tối 14/7. Tâm áp thấp nhiệt đới nằm trên vùng biển phía nam quần đảo Hoàng Sa và dự kiến di chuyển theo hướng tây tây bắc với tốc độ 10-15 km/h, hướng đến vùng biển từ Quảng Bình đến Quảng Ngãi vào chiều 15/7. Sau đó, áp thấp nhiệt đới suy yếu thành vùng áp thấp.
Trên biển, mưa rào và dông xuất hiện ở các vùng biển phía tây bắc và phía tây nam của khu vực Biển Đông, với sóng cao 1,5-4m. Trên đất liền, từ tối 14/7 đến ngày 17/7, mưa lớn xuất hiện trên diện rộng ở đồng bằng và ven biển Bắc Bộ, Tây Nguyên và Nam Bộ, với lượng mưa phổ biến từ 60-200mm, có nơi lên đến 250mm. Bắc Trung Bộ và Trung Trung Bộ cũng hứng chịu lượng mưa tương tự.
Người dân cần đề phòng lũ quét, sạt lở đất và ngập úng, đặc biệt ở vùng núi và khu vực trũng thấp. Mưa dông có thể kèm theo lốc, sét, mưa đá và gió giật mạnh. Dự báo thời tiết cho thấy Hà Nội và các tỉnh đồng bằng Bắc Bộ sẽ duy trì mưa dông suốt tuần tới, nền nhiệt giảm xuống 27-33 độ C, nhưng có nguy cơ gió giật và ngập lụt đô thị.
Bộ trưởng Nông nghiệp và Phát triển nông thôn đã ra công điện yêu cầu quản lý chặt chẽ các phương tiện ra khơi và đề phòng các hiện tượng thời tiết nguy hiểm. Địa phương cần cử lực lượng kiểm soát, hỗ trợ giao thông an toàn và kiên quyết không cho người và phương tiện qua lại vùng nguy hiểm.
