Israel hat die beidseitige Unterzeichnung des „endgültigen Entwurfs“ zur ersten Phase einer Waffenruhe im Gazastreifen bekannt gegeben. Beide Seiten stimmten zu, die erste Phase des von US-Präsident Trump vorgelegten Gaza-Plans umzusetzen: Dazu gehören eine Waffenruhe und die Freilassung der Geiseln aus der Hand der Hamas. Israel will im Gegenzug Hunderte palästinensische Häftlinge freilassen. Außerdem ist ein schrittweiser Rückzug der israelischen Truppen geplant.
