Si intensifica in Iran la rivolta contro il regime degli Ayatollah. E di pari passo sale il livello di allarme per le minacce e le repressioni nei confronti di chi protesta. Per questo il sindaco di Bologna, Matteo Lepore, ha deciso oggi di prendere posizione a sostegno dei manifestanti, esprimendo solidarietà ai cittadini iraniani che vivono sotto le Due Torri.«In queste ore assistiamo a una violenta escalation repressiva del regime iraniano- afferma Lepore- che al momento ha causato 45 morti e più di 2.000 arresti. Bologna è vicina alle migliaia di donne e uomini, lavoratori, studenti e famiglie iraniani che da giorni scendono in piazza per chiedere il rispetto dei diritti fondamentali e risposte alle crescenti difficoltà economiche del Paese. Siamo vicini ai cittadini e alle cittadine, studenti e studentesse iraniane che vivono nella nostra città e che seguono con enorme apprensione quanto sta accadendo in Iran. A tutte e tutti loro esprimiamo solidarietà e chiediamo al Governo, all'Unione Europea e alla Comunità internazionale di farsi parte attiva, con tutti gli strumenti a disposizione, affinché vi sia il pieno rispetto dei diritti fondamentali», dice il sindaco di Bologna.
