I played the first Mortal Shell when it first came out and had a blast, so I was looking forward to this. It's been an enjoyable experience so far, but can definitely use some polish.
Enemies could use some adjusting so their attacks don't whiff so much, it makes trying to block with the shell or parrying feel a bit awkward, especially in combo chains when the first attack doesn't connect with you and throws you off. Difficulty-wise it's on the easy side, but not every game needs to be hyper challenging so I don't see it as massive downsides. The flies appearing and damaging you on the final boss felt a bit annoying to deal with, I wasn't sure on the exact best approach other tha hoping it doesn't hit you. A lot of the boss fights had multiple enemies to deal with during them, which I never hugely enjoy. So I preferred the 1v1 fights like Tar Guardian more than others.
Solid foundations anyway, and I'm looking forward to the full release.
