Australia y Reino Unido firman un tratado AUKUS de 50 años
Australia y el Reino Unido firmaron este sábado un compromiso de 50 años para el tratado de defensa AUKUS a pesar de la revisión en curso del pacto por parte de Estados Unidos. El viceprimer ministro y ministro de Defensa de Australia, Richard Marles, y el secretario de Defensa del Reino Unido, John Healey, firmaron el Tratado bilateral de asociación y colaboración en materia de submarinos de propulsión nuclear en su reunión en Geelong, Victoria. El Tratado de Geelong permitirá una cooperación integral en el diseño, la construcción, el funcionamiento, el mantenimiento y la eliminación de sus submarinos SSN-AUKUS.
