Cihat Yaycı’dan acil çağrı: Bu haritayı hemen imzalamalıyız
Doğu Akdeniz’de uzun süredir gözden kaçan ancak dengeleri doğrudan etkileyebilecek kritik bir süreç sessizce ilerliyor; Güney Kıbrıs Rum Yönetimi ile Lübnan arasında imzalanan deniz yetki alanı anlaşması, harita üzerinden yeniden okunuyor. Haritanın başında GZT Yayın Yönetmeni Doğukan Gezer soruyor, Topkapı Üniversitesi Öğretim Üyesi Müstafi Tümamiral Cihat Yaycı sürecin arka planını anlatıyor.Söz konusu anlaşma, teknik bir deniz sınırı düzenlemesi olarak sunulsa da, Kıbrıs meselesi bağlamında çok daha derin sonuçlar doğurabilecek bir hamle olarak değerlendiriliyor. Güney Kıbrıs Rum Yönetimi’nin, adanın tamamını temsil ettiği iddiasıyla hareket ederek attığı bu adım, Kuzey Kıbrıs Türk Cumhuriyeti’ni ve Türkiye’yi denklemin dışına iten bir yaklaşımı yansıtıyor. Anlaşmanın dayandırıldığı haritalar ve çizilen sınırlar, Türkiye’nin Doğu Akdeniz’deki hareket alanını daraltmayı hedefleyen bir çerçeve sunuyor. Bu çerçevede oluşturulan deniz yetki alanları, sadece hukuki bir tartışma değil; enerji kaynaklarından deniz hâkimiyetine kadar uzanan geniş bir etki alanı oluşturuyor.
