Bajo el sol abrasador de la India, Dioniso enfrenta al poderoso rey Deríades y a Ares en un épico enfrentamiento entre tradición y éxtasis. Por un lado, elefantes de guerra, guerreros enmascarados y tambores de guerra; por el otro, bacantes en trance, sátiros ágiles y cánticos sagrados. Armado con el tirso, los rayos de Zeus y las armas divinas forjadas por Hefesto, Dioniso convoca vides, desata el caos y derrota a Deríades en combate singular. Su victoria sella el triunfo de la transformación sobre el orden, de la vida sobre el control.
