Gerombolan KKB Papua Lari Kocar-kacir seusai Bakar Gedung SMPN Kiwirok

Separatis yang membakar SMPN Kiwirok itu mengaku berasal dari Kodap XV Ngalum Kupel.
Aksi tersebut diketahui melalui pemantauan Satgas Operasi Damai Cartenz dan aparat gabungan TNI-Polri.
Petugas segera respons peristiwa tersebut dengan mengamankan lokasi kejadian, agar peristiwa itu tidak menjalar kemana-mana.
Berdasarkan hasil pemantauan, ada tujuh orang yang membawa senjata api membakar bangunan lama SMP Negeri Kiwirok.
Personel Satgas Ops Damai Cartenz bergerak menuju lokasi. Sesaat setelah personel tiba di ujung Bandara Kiwirok, terdengar satu kali letusan tembakan dari arah lokasi pembakaran.
Kontak tembak pun terjadi antara aparat keamanan dan KKB. Tim gabungan berhasil melakukan perlawanan, dan kelompok bersenjata mundur ke arah Kampung Kotobib.
Setelah memastikan keamanan, tim gabungan TNI-Polri menyambangi pengungsian di Balai Desa Polobakon untuk memberikan imbauan keamanan.
Kepala Operasi Damai Cartenz, Brigjen Pol Dr Faizal Ramadhani menyayangkan tindakan pembakaran tersebut yang menyasar fasilitas pendidikan.
Pihaknya akan terus memantau agar kejadian serupa tidak terulang, mengingat fasilitas pendidikan adalah tempat anak-anak Papua menimba ilmu dan harapan masa depan mereka.
Sementara itu, Wakil Kepala Operasi, Kombes Pol Adarma Sinaga, menambahkan bahwa aparat keamanan tetap siaga di wilayah Kiwirok dan sekitarnya.
Aparat keamanan memastikan situasi sudah terkendali.
NI-Polri akan terus melakukan langkah-langkah preventif dan penegakan hukum terhadap kelompok yang mengancam keamanan masyarakat.
Satgas Operasi Damai Cartenz bersama TNI kini terus memantau pergerakan kelompok bersenjata di wilayah perbatasan Kiwirok dan memperketat jalur keluar masuk distrik untuk mencegah aksi lanjutan.
