Why is it so hard to make decisions—even the small ones? In this candid and charming talk, student speaker Saurish Nanduri discusses the everyday struggle of indecision—from Toys R Us experiences as a kid to those bigger, deeper decisions we have to make as we grow older.With humor, personal stories, and real research, Saurish explores why we freeze when we have too many options, how perfectionism and fear of failure hold us back, and what's lost when we avoid tough choices. He also looks at how indecision shows up in bigger ways—whether it's staying quiet in the moments that matter or putting off change because we're scared of what's next.
This talk is a reminder that decisions do not have to be perfect to be good. Sometimes, going somewhere—imperfectly—is better than going nowhere at all Neel is a sophomore at Frisco Heritage High School. His goal in becoming a TEDx speaker is to present his speech and have something to tell to a broad, worldwide audience who may struggle with the topics he discusses. The topic of Neels speech is Indecision. He tells how he has always found himself frozen in the face of big decisions and feels great pressure even in the most trivial-nonsensical situations. As he grows to overcome this mindset he strives to share his experiences that may help others. In his own life, Neel is passionate about playing the piano, making music, collecting synthesizers and instruments, and creating digital projects. After High School he plans to study Computer Science in college. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
