PLO | Thường vụ Quốc hội đồng ý khởi tố, bắt tạm giam đại biểu Lê Thanh VânỦy ban Thường vụ Quốc hội đã thông qua Nghị quyết 1090/NQ-UBTVQH15, đồng ý khởi tố bị can, bắt tạm giam, khám xét nơi ở và nơi làm việc, cũng như tạm đình chỉ nhiệm vụ và quyền hạn của đại biểu Quốc hội Lê Thanh Vân. Quyết định này được đưa ra theo đề nghị của Viện trưởng Viện KSND tối cao vào ngày 10-7.
Ông Lê Thanh Vân, 60 tuổi, quê ở Thanh Hóa, là đại biểu Quốc hội khóa XIII, XIV, XV, và hiện là Ủy viên thường trực Ủy ban Tài chính - Ngân sách. Trước khi bị khởi tố, ông Vân đã có nhiều năm công tác tại Quốc hội trong các vị trí như Vụ Hoạt động Đại biểu dân cử và Viện Nghiên cứu lập pháp. Ông cũng từng giữ chức Phó bí thư Tỉnh ủy Hải Dương từ tháng 3-2014 đến tháng 12-2015.
Nghị quyết này đánh dấu một bước quan trọng trong việc xử lý các vấn đề liên quan đến hành vi vi phạm pháp luật của các đại biểu Quốc hội, đồng thời thể hiện sự quyết tâm của Ủy ban Thường vụ Quốc hội trong việc giữ vững kỷ cương, pháp luật.
