PRESIDENTE DA CBF PRESTIGIA HOMENAGEM AOS CAMPEÕES BRASILEIROS DE 1985
O presidente da CBF, Samir Xaud prestigiou a festa organizada pelo Coritiba em homenagem ao aniversário de 40 anos do título brasileiro de 1985, no Couto Pereira. Realizada na capital paranaense, Curitiba, antes do jogo com o Amazonas pela 19ª rodada, a cerimônia contou com a presença de ex-jogadores e integrantes da comissão técnica responsáveis pela conquista.Ele participou da entrega de camisas oficiais do modelo Jogadeira, a mesma utilizada pelo atual elenco no jogo, no museu do clube, e das réplicas das medalhas aos ídolos do clube em um palco montado perto do gramado. À época, os jogadores não receberam as medalhas oficiais. Ao saber disso, Samir Xaud decidiu estar presente na homenagem e parabenizar pessoalmente os campeões.
O presidente da CBF chegou, inclusive, a receber uma medalha do Coritiba, mas optou por dá-la a Jairton Rocha. Conhecido como “Seu Jairton”, o fanático torcedor coxa-branca tem distrofia muscular e, mesmo acamado e morando a 130 quilômetros de distância, na cidade de Guaratuba, é figura presente no Couto Pereira.
