PSSI pun terancam terkena hukuman dan denda dari Federasi Sepak Bola Dunia akibat pelemparan botol.
Sementara, dengan skor tersebut, Timnas Indonesia otomatis gagal lolos Piala Dunia 2026.
Rangking FIFA yang ditempat Timnas juga dipastikan anjlok ke peringkat 122.
Menteri Pemuda dan Olahraga (Menpora) sekaligus Ketua PSSI, Erick Thohir bereaksi.
Dalam unggahan di media sosialnya, Erick mengucapkan permohonan maaf karena tak bisa masuk ke Pildun.
Ia kemudian mengucapkan terima kasih kepada suporter hingga pemain atas perjuangannya.
"Terima kasih kepada suporter, pemain, dan ofisial atas perjuangan untuk bisa sampai Round 4 Kualifikasi Piala Dunia 2026. Pertama kali dalam sejarah, Indonesia bisa sampai di titik sejauh ini," tulis Erick.
