Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree - самое высокооценённое дополнение в истории Metacritic - в очередной раз показало, что игры FromSoftware, несмотря на всю их сложность, чертовски популярны у игроков. Dark Souls породила целый новый жанр соулслайков, ремейк Demon's Souls стал стартовым эксклюзивом PS5, а Elden Ring продалась тиражом в 20 млн. копий.
Но мне стало интересно копнуть поглубже и посмотреть на самую первую игру «фромов», сделанную за 10 лет до прихода в компанию Хидэтаки Миядзаки, которого считают создателем и главным идеологом серии Souls. King's Field не особо известна широкой публике, продавалась только в Японии, но именно в ней я нашёл всё то, за что мы любим или ненавидим соулслайки. И эти поиски не прошли для меня даром.
