Gubernur Jawa Barat (Jabar) Dedi Mulyadi menetapkan aktivitas belajar-mengajar di Jawa Barat dilakukan pada Senin-Jumat, dimulai pukul 06.00 WIB.“Dulu waktu jadi Bupati Purwakarta, saya bupati pertama yang membuat hari belajar sampai hari Jumat, dan jam pelajarannya mulai pukul 06.00 pagi. Tidak apa-apa mulai pukul 06.00, tapi belajarnya kan sampai Jumat," ujar Dedi, dikutip Antara, Senin (2/6/2025).
Menurutnya, ini demi menciptakan suasana kondusif bagi tumbuh kembang generasi muda di Jabar.
Selain itu, Dedi juga memberlakukan jam malam bagi pelajar tingkat dasar hingga menengah, yang bertujuan untuk menciptakan iklim sosial yang lebih aman.
Kebijakan jam malam tertuang dalam Surat Edaran (SE) Gubernur Jabar No. 51/PA.03/Disdik yang terbit pada 23 Mei 2025.
Dalam SE ini, kegiatan pelajar di luar rumah dibatasi pada pukul 21.00-04.00 WIB.
Namun, ada pengecualian bagi pelajar yang ikut kegiatan sekolah atau lembaga pendidikan resmi, ikut kegiatan keagamaan dan sosial di lingkungan tempat tinggal dengan sepengetahuan orang tua/wali, sedang berada di luar rumah bersama orang tua/wali, kondisi darurat atau bencana; dan kondisi lain yang sepengetahuan orang tua/wali.
“Setelah gubernur memberlakukan jam malam, kalau ada anak Jawa Barat yang berkelahi, tawuran, kemudian ia harus masuk rumah sakit, Provinsi Jabar tidak akan membantu pembiayaan,” jelas Dedi.
