Petugas keamanan bernama Zamroni mengaku mengetahui kejadian dari saksi penemu mayat.
Saat itu ia sendiri sedang berjaga di dekat lokasi penemuan orang tersebut.
"Kita juga kaget, soalnya tempatnya memang sepi. Kita nggak berani ke sana juga karena sudah dipasang garis polisi," imbuhnya.
Zamroni menjelaskan bahwa kondisi mayat cukup mengenaskan.
Diduga ia adalah korban pembunuhan karena ditemukan luka di bagian leher.
Kasi Humas Polres Tangsel, AKP Agil mengatakan korban berinisial CAD berusia 31 tahun.
"Menindaklanjuti penemuan mayat di areal tanah kosong wilayah Pondok Tim gabungan dari Polsek Pondok Aren, Satreskrim Polres Tangerang Selatan dan Subdit Resmob Dit Reskrimum Polda Metro Jaya telah melakukan serangkaian proses penyelidikan intensif," Agil saat dikonfirmasi TribunTangerang.com, Rabu (16/7/2025).
Sebelumnya mayat orang tak dikenal ditemukan di kawasan Kelurahan Pondok Jaya, Pondok Aren, Kota Tangerang Selatan pada Selasa (15/7/2025) malam.
Mayat ditemukan dalam kondisi telentang dengan luka terbuka di bagian leher dan ditutup menggunakan kain sarung.
Jenazah juga telah dibawa ke RS Polri Kramat Jati untuk diidentifikasi.
