Significantly, the residence of Hiranyaprabha Mete Maji—a former BLO (Booth Level Officer)—is situated right next to this field. The police are currently interrogating her to ascertain the source of these voter cards. This incident, which took place in Kirnahar West Para of Birbhum's Nanur Block, caused a sensation in the area on Sunday. On Sunday morning, as local residents were heading out to the fields, they came across the large cache of discarded voter cards. The police arrived at the scene after receiving a report regarding the discovery at the Kirnahar Police Station.
