Quasimodo, a physically disabled orphan, is the bell-puller of Notre Dame in Paris. His only connection to the world outside the cathedral is the Archdeacon Claude Frollo, whose wishes are his commands. When Quasimodo is ordered to kidnap a Romani dancer named Esmeralda, he unquestioningly tries to do so, only to get caught by the King’s army and punished for it. But Quasimodo’s world turns upside down when he receives unexpected compassion from Esmeralda herself. How does Quasimodo repay her kindness? And is he able to protect Esmeralda from the lustful claws of evil men?
