Jokowi menegaskan kegiatan Retret Kepala Daerah adalah perintah Presiden RI.
Dikutip dari Tribunnews.com, Jokowi melanjutkan sudah sepatutnya para kepala daerah mengikuti perintah tersebut Presiden.
Jokowi juga mengingatkan kepada para kepala daerah terpilih harus bersedia melakukan kegiatan yang tujuannya untuk kepentingan rakyat.
"Ini kan urusan pemerintahan. Yang diundang kepala daerah. Yang mengundang presiden. Ya mestinya hadir, datang."
Keterangan ini disampaikan Jokowi di kediamannya, Sumber, Banjarsari, Solo, Jawa Tengah, Jumat (21/2/2025).
Jokowi menegaskan para kepala daerah tersebut sudah dipilih oleh rakyat untuk kepentingan bangsa dan negara.
"Mereka dipilih oleh rakyat dan untuk kepentingan rakyat, bangsa, dan negara," kata Jokowi saat ditemui di kediamannya di Sumber, Banjarsari, Solo, Jawa Tengah, pada Jumat (21/2/2025)
Diketahui sebelumnya Ketua Umum PDI Perjuangan (PDIP) Megawati Soekarnoputri yang meminta kepala daerah dari partainya untuk menunda keikutsertaan dalam Retret di Akademi Militer (Akmil) Magelang, Jawa Tengah, 21-28 Februari 2025.
Larangan ini setelah adanya Komisi Pemberantasan Korupsi (KPK) melakukan penahanan terhadap Sekjen PDIP, Hasto Kristiyanto.
Instruksi tersebut disampaikan Megawati melalui surat resminya pada Kamis (20/2/2025).
