Möglicher Schlag gegen die Mullahs: USA ab Samstag im Iran angriffsbereit
Washington – Jetzt wird’s ernst! Laut Berichten der Sender CNN und CBS wurde der amerikanische Präsident Donald Trump (79) informiert, dass das Militär am Samstag bereit für einen potenziellen Angriff auf den Iran sei. Trump selbst habe laut Insidern noch keine endgültige Entscheidung darüber getroffen, ob er angreifen werde. Dutzende US-Kampfjets haben allerdings in den vergangenen Tagen ihre Basen in den USA und Europa verlassen. Ziel: Naher Osten. Es handelt sich um die größte Luftstreitmacht seit dem Einmarsch in den Irak im Jahr 2003. Das berichtet die „Military Air Tracking Alliance“ (Mata), ein Team von 30 Open-Source-Analysten, das weltweit militärische Flugbewegungen auswertet. Mehr als 85 Tankflugzeuge und mehr als 170 Transportmaschinen sollen laut Mata bereits in Richtung Krisenregion unterwegs sein. Auch zwei US-Aufklärungsflugzeuge sind von Ramstein (Rheinland-Pfalz) Richtung Südosten gestartet.Doch damit nicht genug: US-Präsident Donald Trump (79) hat auch den größten Flugzeugträger der Welt, die „USS Gerald R. Ford“, von der Karibik in den Nahen Osten entsandt. Sie soll mit der bereits im Arabischen Meer stationierten „USS Abraham Lincoln“ den Druck auf Teheran erhöhen. Trumps Botschaft ist unmissverständlich. Über die „USS Ford“ sagte er: „Falls wir keine Einigung erzielen, werden wir sie brauchen.“
Regierungssprecherin Karoline Leavitt (28) erklärte mit Blick auf ein militärisches Vorgehen, es gebe viele Argumente, die man für einen Angriff auf den Iran anbringen könnte. Zugleich betonte sie, Diplomatie sei stets Trumps erste Wahl. Für den Iran wäre es „sehr klug“, ein Abkommen mit dem US-Präsidenten zu machen, sagte Leavitt.
