TRIBUN-VIDEO.COM - Pemimpin umat Katolik dunia, Paus Fransiskus akan berkunjung ke Indonesia, pada 3-6 September 2024 mendatang.

Sejumlah agenda akan digelar Paus Fransiskus selama kunjungannya di Indonesia. Diantaranya, bertemu Presiden Joko Widodo (Jokowi) di Istana Kepresidenan hingga merayakan misa kudus bersama umat katolik di Stadion Gelora Bung Karno (GBK), Jakarta.

Sekitar 70 ribu umat Katolik diperkirakan akan mengikuti Misa di GBK.

Hal ini disampaikan Juru Bicara Panitia Kunjungan Paus Fransiskus, Romo Thomas Ulun Ismoyo, Pr saat sesi wawancara eksklusif dengan Direktur Pemberitaan Tribun Network, Febby Mahendra Putra di Wisma Keuskupan Katedral Jakarta, Selasa (2/7/2024).

Dia mengungkapkan, misa rencananya disiarkan secara langsung agar umat Katolik yang tidak bisa hadir langsung bisa menyaksikan.

Thomas menjelaskan, umat yang datang ke GBK juga tidak sembarangan, semuanya harus melalui keuskupan masing-masing.

Menurutnya, hal tersebut berdasarkan kesepakatan antara Uskup bersama panitia dengan Konferensi Waligereja Indonesia (KWI).

"Jadi ini bersifat undangan. Angkanya segini, bukan KWI menentukan 'kamu segini', tetapi ini adalah perbincangan antara KWI dengan para Bapak Uskup setempat," ungkap Thomas.

Dia juga menjelaskan pendanaan kunjungan pemimpin umat Katolik dunia, Paus Fransiskus ke Indonesia pada September 2024 mendatang merupakan hasil gotong royong.

Dia mempersilakan seluruh umat termasuk non-Katolik jika ingin menyumbangkan dananya kepada panitia.

"Bahkan juga ada yang non-katolik yang menyumbang gitu ya karena sosok Paus Fransiskus adalah sosok yang dia kagumi," ucap Thomas.
