Pemkot Depok Gratiskan Sekolah di 33 SMP dan 11 MTs Swasta, Telan Anggaran Rp 7,5 Miliar per Tahun

Program ini bertujuan untuk memberikan kemudahan bagi siswa yang tidak diterima di SMP negeri.
Dikutip dari laman resmi Pemkot Depok pada Senin (30/6/2025), program Rintisan Sekolah Swasta Gratis (RSSG) akan mencakup 33 SMP dan 11 MTs di Kota Depok.
Wali Kota Depok Supian Suri mengatakan, kebijakan ini merupakan tindak lanjut dari keputusan Mahkamah Konstitusi tentang sekolah swasta gratis.
"Mudah-mudahan dengan adanya kebijakan ini, tidak ada lagi siswa yang tidak bersekolah karena tidak masuk SMP Negeri dan tidak memiliki biaya," ujar Supian.
Nantinya, Pemkot Depok akan membebaskan biaya pendidikan siswa di 33 SMP dan MTs swasta.
Supian menyebut, 33 SMP diperkirakan mampu menampung hingga 2.500 siswa baru.
Tanggungan setiap siswa yakni Rp 250 ribu per bulan atau Rp 3 juta per tahun.
Sehingga, Pemkot Depok bakal menggelontorkan dana hingga Rp 7,5 miliar per tahun untuk menjalankan program ini.
Supian menyadari pihaknya belum bisa menggratiskan biaya pendidikan di SMP swasta seluruh Kota Depok.
Pasalnya, banyak sekolah swasta yang mahal biaya pendidikannya.
"Ada kebijakan-kebijakan sekolah swasta yang pembiayaannya memang tidak terjangkau dari sisi penganggaran atau alokasi anggaran yang kita miliki," imbuhnya.
Adapun pendaftaran Rintisan Sekolah Swasta Gratis (RSSG) dimulai Selasa (1/7/2025) hingga Sabtu (5/7/2025).
Lokasi pendaftaran di Aula Gedung Dibaleka 2 Lantai 10, Balai Kota Depok.
