Donald Trump wollte das berühmte Wasserbecken vor dem Lincoln Memorial in Washington aufwerten. Statt eines strahlend blauen Reflecting Pools sorgt nun jedoch ein ganz anderes Bild für Aufsehen. Weil eine umfassende Sanierung als zu teuer und zu zeitaufwendig galt, wurde der Boden des Beckens blau gestrichen. Das Ergebnis: Statt patriotischem Blau breiten sich sumpfgrüne Algen aus.
